Emerging from tunnel #2 in Cuesta Pass, the Starlight, led by F40 #378, cruises at a decent pace considering all of the twists and turns. F40's are rapidly disappearing from many of Amtrak's trains, but they did make several appearances on the Starlight after numerous grade crossing accidents damaged several P42's.
